We reckon to serve a small market well. All our efforts go into developing, maintaining and supporting database applications for our clients. We keep our applications simple and user-friendly so that they are easier to maintain and support.
Much of our work is controlled by client IT departments which expect us to deliver competent project management in the form of development, maintenance and support which is cost-effective professional, timely and secure. In doing so we take care to act in compliance with their IT rules. In the rare cases where there is no such explicit direction we apply best practice.
It is common (particularly in an Island situation) for clients to ask us to take on the maintenance and support of legacy systems which may have been written elsewhere. When we do so we are careful to credit and preserve the work of the original supplier, and we document any adjustments or enhancements we have made.
We provide maintenance in the form of rapid respose to user requirements, changes at modest cost, and upgrades where new techniques and treatments become available. We assist scalability and impose no penalties on expanded use within the same organisation. We review our client requirements frequently.
We give attentive support in the form of documentation and training, with on site visits and assistance as required. User suggestions are welcomed and implemented wherever possible. This helps new modules to gain user acceptance and improves our understanding of elements in a requirement which might be overlooked otherwise.
